  • Half cup of arhar dal
  • Half cup rice
  • 1 clove

  • Soak the rice and dal in water for some time and drain completely before preparation. Do not pocket them for less than 30 minutes

Delicious Khichdi recipe –

  • Step 1 – Take a pressure cooker and put it on a medium flame.
  • Step 2 – Go ghee, followed by Heeng, cross seeds, Nelke and Tej Patta.
  • Step 3– Set the dal and rice together with 4 cup of water.
  • Step 4– Put the turmeric powder and salt in the stove before you close the lid.
  • Step 5 – Cook in a medium flame and switch off after three pipes.

For the tip-

  • Make sure you clean the rice and the DAL very well before cooking it.
  • If you don’t have 30 minutes to soak, cook some water and put the ingredients in for 10 minutes.
  • Add a little ghee for a better taste
  • Use minimal spices to maintain the natural taste of Khichdi.
  • You can add ginger garlic paste to the stove if you want.
  • First open the pressure cooker and unless it releases pressure. This helps the ingredients to cook better and taste good.
